"Mind & Motion"
Falls Prevention Physiotherapy for Care Home Residents
Physiotherapy led strength, balance and mobility programmes designed to reduce falls risk, improve functional independence and support safer care across Essex and the South East.

Why Falls Prevention Matters in Care Homes
Falls remain one of the leading causes of injury, hospital admission and long term functional decline in older adults.
In care home settings, reduced lower limb strength, impaired balance, slower reaction time and fear of falling significantly increase risk.
Many of these factors are modifiable.
Targeted physiotherapy led strength and balance training can reduce falls risk, improve mobility and restore confidence.
Generic activity sessions do not address these underlying risk factors.
Structured clinical input does.

What We Do

Falls Prevention & Functional Strength
We deliver physiotherapy-led strength and balance programmes designed to reduce falls risk, improve posture, and support safer mobility for care home residents across the UK.

Mobility Improvement & Confidence Building
Our approach supports functional mobility, helping residents maintain independence, reduce fear of falling, and move more confidently in daily life.

Clinical Oversight & Care Planning
Every programme comes with individual assessments and structured reports that support care planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Why Physiotherapy-Led Matters
That Means:
Clinical Reasoning
Individual mobility limitations are analysed using physiotherapy principles, not generic activity planning. Intervention is based on underlying impairment, not assumption.
Risk Stratification
Residents are categorised according to functional ability, falls history and cognitive factors.
This ensures safe progression and appropriate intensity for each individual.
Individual Assessment
Each resident undergoes structured evaluation of strength, balance, gait and relevant cognitive performance.
Findings guide a personalised plan rather than a one size fits all approach.
Structured Progression
Programmes are progressed systematically based on measurable improvement.
Goals are reviewed every 12 weeks to maintain challenge and prevent decline.
Documentation to Support Care Planning
Clear written reports provide clinical findings, identified risks and progression plans. Documentation supports care plans, governance requirements and regulatory evidence.

Who Is Behind Reeflex Mind & Motion
Reeflex Mind & Motion is led by Reef, a HCPC registered physiotherapist with a background in elderly rehabilitation and functional restoration within care home environments.
Having worked extensively with older adults, Reef recognised that many residents experience avoidable functional decline due to a lack of structured, clinically reasoned input. Reeflex was established to provide physiotherapy led falls prevention and mobility programmes that are assessment driven, progressive and outcome tracked.
Every programme is delivered with clinical reasoning, appropriate risk assessment and clear documentation to support care planning and regulatory standards. This is preventative physiotherapy integrated directly into the care home setting.
