The Heart Behind Reeflex Mind & Motion

Hi, I'm Reef Cowell, a physiotherapist passionate about improving the quality of life for older adults.
I founded Reeflex Mind & Motion to help care home residents stay active, independent, and mentally stimulated through physiotherapy-led movement and cognitive sessions.

After witnessing my grandmother's experience with dementia, I saw how quickly physical and cognitive decline can impact confidence and happiness. I wanted to change that โ€” to create a programme that helps residents stay engaged, capable, and connected through movement and memory-based activity.

    ๐Ÿง  My Background & Credentials

๐ŸŽ“ MSc Physiotherapy โ€“ University of Essex
๐ŸŽ“ BSc (Hons) Sports & Exercise Science โ€“ University of Essex
๐Ÿ’ช Level 3 Personal Trainer & Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist
    ๐Ÿงพ HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
๐Ÿ“‹ Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
    โœ… Enhanced DBS Checked
๐Ÿฉบ Fully Insured (Public Liability & Professional Indemnity โ€“ ยฃ5 million)

    ๐Ÿ’š Why I Started Reeflex

Working in care homes, I saw first-hand how tailored movement and interaction could completely change someone's day โ€” a smile, a moment of balance, a step taken independently again.
That's when I realised that physiotherapy shouldn't just be about recovery โ€” it should be about preserving ability, dignity, and joy.

Reeflex Mind & Motion brings together the science of physiotherapy and the power of human connection.
Each session blends movement, memory, and motivation โ€” helping residents move better, think clearer, and live brighter.

"My goal is simple โ€” to help every resident feel stronger, safer, and more connected every day."

๐ŸŒฟ Our Mission

To enhance the vitality and quality of life of care home residents through expert physiotherapy and meaningful cognitive exercise โ€” fostering confidence, safety, and engagement in later life.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Reef's Message

"The most rewarding part of what I do is seeing residents regain confidence โ€” when someone stands taller, laughs during a session, or simply feels proud of what they've achieved, it reminds me why I started Reeflex."
